Whitebridges
We had a good day on the duck and I used my last cartridge ( 12 guage Alphamax Bismuth 36g no.4 shot). We were shooting mallard out to 40 yards and they worked very well. I was going to go out and buy another 100 at about £26 per box but thought i'd check here beforehand to see if there were other alternatives. Any opinions much appreciated. Thank you. stirky
Same as magman, steel does work at reasonable ranges, the last lot of experss 3" steel did rattle a bit though, i now home load all my wildfowling shells.
Whitebridges
I don't mind what they cost. What's the best?
stirky
Heavy shot is the best non toxic shot, at the moment its $159 for 10lb, with the exchange rate at nearly $2. to the ?. it works out ?1 per shot through my ten bore fireing a 2oz load but thats loose for homeloading, express do a range of H/shot shells that would be good for duck. Suffolk shooter
I use Remington Nitro Steel in 3" (No4's) and 3.5" (BB's), no complaint's from me on these. I have also used Eley GrandPrix Steel No.4's in 2 3/4", but don't rate them anywhere near as good as the Remington shells. I got mine from John Forsey down Dartford way just before season started.
