Mark74
Finally managed to get out on peas that were drilled last weekend, gutted that when I arrived I was told that someone else had shot 70 on the field earlier in week.....on my patch too grrr!!!! Anyway, plenty of birds on the move and I set up under good flight line but with wind in my face, so not great & after half an hour after much frustration with birds coming to decoys but very awkwardly. After much debating I decided to pack up and head to other side of the field for better decoying conditions. After that had a good day of 24 but only sheer incompetence on my part stopped it being double that.....frustrating that when birds show up my marksmanship vanishes!!! Hope to return early next week after being told the other bloke will also be going back. How annoying to shoot the land for 30 years and when good sport arrives on peas for first time someone else gets the benefit. Ah well a decent day in the end..... la bala
Nothing worse than turning up and seeing a large area covered in feathers from the day before. Maybe next time you will get there a day in front of your fellow shooter.
cocknee
Or maybe instead of trying to outdo each other team up and both have a good day.

So you are annoyed that some one else got to "YOUR PATCH" and then you miss the birds that presented well due to your poor shooting. Does coming on here and ranting about it help you? I wonder if the "OTHER BLOKE" worries about someone else shooting the same piece of land or JUST GETS ON WITH IT? Move to Burnley and get yourself a supply of interior doors!
