Was out this morning rebuilding a jump that got broken on Friday. There must have been 100 rooks in the field so when the farmer come along to see how we were getting on, I asked if there was any chance of having a go at frightening then off and maybe even shooting one or two?

He just said fill your boot. you can shoot as many of them as you like and the magpies and pigeons but not too touch the rabbits as he has an old boy who likes to do the rabbit shooting. About an hour later he came back and asked if we could have a go at the rabbits on another bit of the farm as they are causing some damage and the old boy doesn't get to that bit.

So for a bit of fence repairing I got about 250 acres of crow and pigeon shooting plus about 50 acres of rabbit shooting! Well pleased!!! :yahoo:

Well i did think strike well the iron is hot and popped in the the farm next door to show my face ask if they had a problem with me shooting on the boundary be cause of the possibility of shot falling on there land and found that an old mate of mine has just started working there so also got an invite for a rabbit shoot day and asked if i could be around for when they have a pigeon shoot, just got to go in to the far on the other side and show my face there as well.

It couldn't have come at a better time really as I've sort of given up 2 of my permissions as having got the owners of both bits sons in to shooting I've let them take on more of the pest control.
