keg
Can 7.5t lorries still travel in lane 3 in motorways?
shoot and be safe
Don't think so as they are now restricted to 56mph, but I could be wrong. On a side note if the motorway is 4 lanes, then 44T can travel in lane

keg
So if you have a limiter-no, if you a have a limiter- yes? Travelling back from London to Leeds on Friday evening, about 2/3s of the drives did not grasp the "drive to the left" theory on the 4 lane stretch at Nottingham ( the bit that is not covered by the 50mph roadworks....) HW682
(I happened to have a highway code next to the chair, but thought it easier to post a link than type what it said ) looks like with a speedlimiter can't use lane 3? I know tha stretch of motorway and it does often seem to have the lane discipline totally reversed.

keg
The reason I ask is that I spend a bit of time away from home most weeks and try and broaden my knowledge by reading books and mags. I often buy "Truck and Driver" and it mentioned it in the latest copy I picked up this week.
johnnythefox70
Thought it was only up to 3.5 tonne and not pulling a trailer/caravan etc. Don't see any 7.5 tonners in the fast lane so would say its a no no.
chady
If it's got a limiter no. If it has yes. Problem is there are very few that haven't got a limiter.

Scully
If it's got a limiter no. If it has yes. Problem is there are very few that haven't got a limiter. Ours has. Acceleration is superb, but then we hit the limiter and that's it; everything comes past , including most artics.
keg
We do seem to make some strange laws about trucks and buses.
