Travelling back from London to Leeds on Friday evening, about 2/3s of the drives did not grasp the "drive to the left" theory on the 4 lane stretch at Nottingham ( the bit that is not covered by the 50mph roadworks....)

looks like with a speedlimiter can't use lane 3?

 

I know tha stretch of motorway and it does often seem to have the lane discipline totally reversed.

The reason I ask is that I spend a bit of time away from home most weeks and try and broaden my knowledge by reading books and mags. I often buy "Truck and Driver" and it mentioned it in the latest copy I picked up this week.
