bicykillgaz
Hi gents, What sort of money should I expect to pay for a secondhand synthetic stock off a cz452 .22lr? I want to have a go at sanding the barrel channel out to suit my 452 varmint, then pillar and glass bedding it to stop any possible flex caused by removing material from the stock. If it's gonna cost silly money for one though I'll not bother.
Rimfireboy
Interesting project Gary. Can't answer your question though. Sorry.
bicykillgaz
Cheers mate, I've priced up synthetic and fibreglass aftermarket ones but can't justify spending that sort of money so thought I'd have a go at adapting a cheaper option. At least this way I don't need to worry about the inletting just the barrel channel which should be easy enough.
Dekers
It will cost what anyone wants to charge, if you can find any used ones you will get an idea of cost, but I suggest there will be very few available! Good luck! Probably a battered old used, whole silhouette/style may be the cheapest option, but who knows what the stock may be like! bicykillgaz
Hi dekers, That's what I was hoping for mate (secondhand) don't mind condition too much as long as it's doesn't look like my dogs chewed it! If it works out well I can always source a new one. I was hoping someone may have stuck a boyds stock on their style and have their synthetic stock gathering dust on a shelf. rtaylor
I'm sure I've seen some on here asking about £30-50. I don't think I'd spend much more than that when you can get a Boyd delivered, for what £120?
