Snotty
Our dog Jill has a problem, wife thinks the lump on her face is a tooth abcess, her breath is a bit whiffy. Problem is she's 13 years old, still spry but is a general anaesthetic dangerous at her age? Lakeland cross border terrier .
new to the flock
General anastetic can be dangerous for the old dog and yes 13 is old. However most come through it just fine. I look a it this way without it they have an almost 100% chance of dying......With it they have a very good chance of living NTTF
Snotty
I did it. Four teeth out including one that had cracked right through It's taken 5 years off her and put the spring back in her step. Poor sausage must have been in agony. Breath is minty fresh to, couldn't be more pleased

Snotty
Hope the vet left you with some money..... I don't know how much it cost, the wife picked her up from the v-e-t. However much it was worth it, you get very attached to these dog things. No more sweet treats, have to protect what teeth she has left. How to tell if the dog really is asleep... Put a piece of sausage under the nose
lurcherboy
Glad the old girl made it snotty and you shouldn't feed her any sugar treats anyway LB
