nic
If your that area, consider the Dee Wildfowlers When I lived up there, they had a maximum number but seemed to clear the waiting list most years and good shooting.

Fiddich
If it wasn't a 3 hour drive away I would. The north west wildfowling clubs are more secretive than the Freemasons haha. Have a couple of day trips on southport marsh and a farmers potato field gets the geese on so will have a few to go on. Just be nice to have something season after season

Fiddich
Lol when you go on a day ticket do you go with a member?? Would go on a day ticket but don't fancy walking out on a marsh I don't know!
kent
Lol when you go on a day ticket do you go with a member?? Would go on a day ticket but don't fancy walking out on a marsh I don't know! most clubs that take part in the BASC ticket will sort someone if you ask on first contact. How many will remain in BASC in future years is totally another question at present.

Just be nice to have something season after season just remember the clubs were formed mostly back in the 50's and they have successfully prevented over exploitation or loss of the resource for all that time. You will get in but it will take time and I don't mean a few months, meanwhile there are day tickets and Scotland (shoot north of the border and you will soon see why we have clubs)
Fiddich
They are on the club website not through basc so that's why I wondered about a member taking you. I know I was expecting to be on a waiting list for at least a few years but can't even get on a list.
misser
its quite a task to get onto the waiting list for most of the northwest clubs.....makes it even more difficult when one doesn't know anyone in the club and a sponsor is required..... actually getting into the club takes it to a different level again.....in the beginning took me quite a few letters to get anywhere...difficult when you don't know anyone.....
