Berettacocker
tell you what Leadwasp, I`m sick of all this, I have shot ferals all my life, and I will continue to do so, they are officially pests and that's all I need to know, I`ve never been criticized for shooting one and I doubt if I ever will be. Have a good life bye please try to scare them away first, if that doesn't work feel free to shoot !

Berettacocker
As far as ferals ( we call them dockies round here ) are concerned, they are always a nuisance ( always contaminating with **** ) and providing you have permission , you'll always have a good reason to shoot them. But where do you stand shooting woodies over stubbles, after all they're not causing damage, also have young as well? By the way I shoot them all year round. robbiep
Once again, you can justify that if, for example, the farmer is due to put in another crop pretty soon. If that's done, then the woodies will be on it instantly, so crop protection comes into play.
Therealchucknorris
please try to scare them away first, if that doesn't work feel free to shoot ! Or fire a warning shot in its direction. It's up to the bird if it chooses to heed that warning or not
