Albert 888
Right as above I have a 223 rcbs competition bullet seating die,how do I go about changing the internals so I can use it for loading 308, think I need the shell holder and the bullet bushing and the bullet guide. Where do I get them from and what are the corret names for the bits please a link would be great. Cheers Albert
kent
Heck, get the proper .308 die! Never even knew you could get up to such things as the OD and bolt face is different, your not going to be left with much surely?
Albert 888
You know me kent,im carefull with my money not tight:-P. Got told I can change the bits in it and use on the 308. Im not that happy with the rcbs competition seaters anyway, I borrowed one for the 308 today and got a different c,o,l every time with the vernier, I understand that oal dosent matter that much its just the Shape differences in the heads, and the die is really a micrometer.but it really annoys me As im striving for perfection this time. saddler
Go on the RCBS site Download the pdf guide with schematic diagrams Check IF the die body part numbers are the same, if so, then order the part numbers that are different between 223 & 308 Plan A - just sell the 223 unit & get another one in

Get an LE Wilson Bullet seater for the thing then, you cannot better them- don't fret over the mic. thing on one of those just get it set and leave be. what are you then going to do buy another .223 die?
