Royboy
Well i may have been mistaken now I've spoke to somebody about it, I was useing whole rag worm as bait and been told that tope won't take these ?? They must have been big smooth hounds I was thinking ?? They where big though because I couldn't land them up the rocks, I'd try and pull them up by grabbing the line and my line was snapping from the weight. They did look like tope !though ! kent
You wont handline much of a tope up but its possible to catch supper diddy ones that are too small to eat anything like a proper fish, I have seen mini ones take worm but never no bigger than your hand. Smoothhound, huss or doggies can all take some dead lifting on a fishing line

Terry P
Top one is a smooth hound fella, top fighting fish, never had one of them from point lynas either so well done. Did you use a leader, if not if you go again use one and a heavier hooklength and you should be able to hand line them.
