ezi bez
Too many diners open now m8, best time to shoot pigeon at this time of year is as soon as you see them hitting the field in at least 200 figures. Ive had alot of my best days doing this, I saw pigeons hitting a barley field last year must have been 5/600 on it and birds wer still raining in like stones went home got mi gear and went straight back. ( took me 25 mins to go home and bk ) On arrival at said field the birds were every where, got set up, deeks out,(dead birds) spinner on, gun loaded ready and off we go. It went mental only had a slab with me so only shot for a couple hrs total picked birds 189 for 250 cartridges, bang on! So I say, see em shoot em !! Happy hunting Ezi Edited July 15, 2014 by ezi bez
JDog
If there was no flight line into the field you should not have set up.

If/when they do, thats the time to set up. If you arrive at an empty field, just watch it for a while and see if anything comes, but its not usually worth setting up just in the hope they might turn up, unless you want to listen to the afternoon play on Radio 4.
