Rst1990
I didn't realise that they set up an interview for a fac variation is this common?
Kes
Not in my experience, unless its a major change from say rimfire to centrefire, or your cabinet is close to capacity. If you are upgrading to a larger CF - it may be a land issue but more likely an experience issue. Why not ring your feo and ask why he wants to see you? They may sound like they are awkward but whatever, forewarned if forearmed. Good Luck
Rst1990
I have fac air at the minute and put in a variation for .22 rimfire so this is probably the reason. I did ask my feo but he just said for this variation we have to have an interview.

Kes
He will be interested to hear where you will shoot whether you know the rough ballistics of the .22, He may ask about additional land as FAC air can be used in places a .22 should not. Backstops, ammo, sub -sonic supersonic, how many etc. Specifics about quarry - don't say fox just ask for 'any other lawful quarry and, presumably its mainly for rabbits. He wants to know if you know enough about what to use it on, and how to use it safely. Bit of 'genning up' required. Check out a few U -tube videos about the killing range of .22's e.g. Dont forget to say that if he asks why you want a moderator, its to protect your hearing and maybe because of where you intend to shoot a distance from pproperties to avoid disturbing residents? Cheers.
Dekers
Of course it happens! Just like a one 4 one, that too can involve an interview, simply depends on the region and the circumstances!
