The Essex Hunter
A good friend from PW (bulldog) dropped of a chillier he had repaired and re-gassed yesterday morning, my Dad who is all ways up for a laugh wanted to check out the unit from the inside............!! It has loads of trays so ideal for 200 pigeons and possibly a fallow at a push (but not at the same time)!! A quick 5 mins with a hacksaw converted an ally ladder to a hanging brace.... Last night I positioned myself to cover 2 fields and with the light fading a pair had come in from the one point I couldn't see... They were over half way across the field and going away so I hugged the hedge with an oak tree as my goal.... A few seconds to catch my breath while I checked the pair through the scope, the doe was not shoot able but her mate took a left and the shot was on...With my gun zeroed at 200 yards the round knocked him over at 175 while his mate bolted for cover.. Back home to check out the chillier!! TEH
