While out walking yesterday seen some interesting runs along one of my local rivers, meet the landowner who owned about 10 acres running along the river and with his permission set my 8 mink traps.

On returning this morning, found a firstly a very large feral cat and with the vicious biting attempts he was dispatched.

Got this nice male mink about 200yards away from the cat. Reckon I found its holt\burrow in a stone wall on the other side of the river so going to trap that side tonight.

EoinGalway,

well done, is there any specific reason why you are using live traps instead of kill traps?

:good: good man eoin, no harm to kill the nasty little bast...s. have one of them traps myself, better dust it off :good: what do you use for bait? sardines?

"John West Sardines" in sunflour oil work a treat but mackerel does the job to!

I have 8 cage traps (Club owned) and 4 fenn traps, (should have 11 cage traps but thieving ba*t*rds have reduced it to 8)
