staffyspen
Hi all, How soon after you buy a shotgun can you sell it? Can I by a gun from a family member and sell it the same day? Thanks
Scully
Yes, as long as you inform licensing as per norm.
staffyspen
How do you inform them that you have both bought and sold the same gun in 1 day?
bostonmick
Just do the normal forms for buying and then selling and put a note along with them explaining you bought then sold.
Scully
How do you inform them that you have both bought and sold the same gun in 1 day? As per the instructions on your SGC, within the allotted time. The shotgun you bought has now all its details on your SGC, as filled in by the seller, and now the buyers SGC has all the details on their SGC, as filled in by you the seller. The person who sold you the gun informs their licensing authority of the transaction; you inform your licensing authority of the purchase, and the sale of the shotgun in the same letter, and the buyer informs their licensing authority of the purchase. bluesj
unless you are trying to make a few quid out of a member of your family why not just put the person you are selling to in contact with the seller?!
