Keith RW
Got this one last night when he called for his supper, been after him for a week or so after first spotting a quick glimpse of him. Patience paid off on fourth outing just as he showed himself and caught a pheasant poult about 40yd out and in front of me in long grass which showed himself up and gave the game away for him ..... a dose of number four sorted things out quick sticks... Keith RW
generally get one or so a year whilst helping out babysitting the newly arrived poults and until they settle in and start roosting in the trees, best was three fox in one evening year before last in the space of half an hour, gamekeeper clears most of them early on but at this time of year especially this last week or so and with the local farmers harvesting they get disturbed and home in on woodland and the pens and which is where i get to spend many a pleasant evening, they say patience is a waiting game and there is a sense of satisfaction when you catch one in the act so to speak.
