Patrick1964
I bought a second hand but nearly mint Escort PS yesterday and want to fit a sling. I can order an end cap with a swivel fitted for a few quid but what do you recommend for the stock ? I don't want to buy a self tapping swivel screw if it's likely to cause problems or if there is a better option. Thanks in advance.

steve_b_wales
Get a self tapping one, but drill a small pilot hole before you start to screw it into the stock. I did this and it worked well. I also added a bit of Araldite glue to the threads too.

kenj
I fitted a Jack Pike Sling to the synthetic stock of my Magtech .22 semi auto rimfire. There is a detailed description on my blog, hole sizes, etc. http://www.urbanfieldsportsman.com/index.php/improved-magtech-7022-field-test/ I've had this fitted for a while now and it is still solid. The front screw also takes my Harris bipod, again no problems.
onatangent
Not quite the same beastie but my hatsan pcp came with swivels fitted and they are just self tappers into the synthetic stock and as mentioned pilot drilled as to not fubar the stock. Holding its own and not pulled the screws yet......
