figgy
You not having much luck then. As I have said if its not proofed for high performance steel I wouldn't use them. You have in the past without a problem and probably will use them again but steel causes higher pressures than lead carts. Check out the American shooting forums as they don't have proof like us and state all guns sold in America should be capable of shooting the loads sold there for the chamber size. littlerob
You could get your gun proofed for not too much money. Then your sure it's safe. Figgy i could but im looking to get rid of the Beretta al391 urika for two reasons 1 it don't fit me at all way to big really 2nd looking for a all in one gun so decided to go for steel proofed u/o thinking of the Revo K200 i have a budget of £450 plus the urika for a better gun than the Revo the only semi auto i tried that fitted me almost right was a youth 20g webely and scott in the shop when i went to buy in my budget was hatsan escort Remington 1100 Winchester sx2 and a 1440 mk2 webely and scott 810 and the urika and everyone says cant bet a beretta semi so i got that i don't regret buying it but i had some spare money and wanted a semi auto the only gun that fits me perfect is a cheapo old Baikal
motty
You could get your gun proofed for not too much money. Then your sure it's safe. Figgy What's the point? It's almost like he's just proofed the gun himself. I wouldn't proof my non-proof guns. I know they're safe with what I'll put through them. figgy
They proof with a lot more pressure than the carts your putting through. But as you say your getting rid of it. Have you tried a SX3 for fit? You can get thin pads for shorter fit. Figgy

Figgy haven't tried a sx3 for fit but i have tired quite a few guns and 9 out of 10 don't fit i find that the youth models are close's to my fit but then again most are in 20g and not 12g which is not going to be up to the job of wild fowling but i may go down and find a sx3 and see whats the fits like currenly the urika im using i have not shims or spacers in it and its still to big i can shoot with it but its far being right Edited September 1, 2014 by littlerob

littlerob
Go for a wooden stocked one and get it cut to suit you. Figgy yes your right Figgy if i cant find a semi auto to fit i know where a Baikal mp153 semi is with wood stock a little bit of butchery could do the trick but this weekend a trip around the local gun shops and see whats about and how they fit
figgy
Best of luck, just watch the baikal are normally front heavy so cutting a stock on one would make it worse, unless you weight the stock with lead. Figgy
