Catamong
Anybody planning on shooting this one - it's this years first England Team Selection Shoot, and these always attract a big entry? They've organised squadding for both days, , so book in now, particularly if you want to shoot on the Sunday. Cat
Catamong
Well, anybody shooting on the Sunday picked the wrong day. It blew a hooley, with squally snow showers as well. It made a pretty testing layout extremely hard, if not impossible for some people. The winning score of 88 came from John Swire, who went out on the first squad on Saturday morning, when the awful weather had not really set in. I shot round with some top class shots, but we all struggled badly, I managed a 75 which wasn't too bad as I think the top score on the Sunday was 78..!! :o Fellow PW member Jonsey was there, poor lass struggling to stay upright on some stands, (it wasn't yesterday's Guinness either, ), the wind was that strong, but she still managed to return an excellent 56, even after a nightmare on the driven tower stand. It's times like this when you think "sod the clays, the weather was perfect for Pigeon shooting..!!" Cat.

Catamong
Funnily enough, the first thing Jonsey did when she got back to the clubhouse was to devour an enormous slice of Angel cake..!! Cat.

Jonsey
Fellow PW member Jonsey was there, poor lass struggling to stay upright on some stands, Dr Pin prescribes an intensive course of cakes Aye, we wobble but we don't fall down Thank you Dr Pin, I will make sure I take my cake medicine as prescribed. I'm sorry to say that the cake was the best bit of the day. I think we'd only halfway through the shoot and I was asking Cat if he'd noticed any cake in the clubhouse. I hope the English Open is better in May. No sleet or snow would be good for starters. Hmmm! are you calling me a weeble Mungler? :o I'll remember that
pin
I think he was offering his and my physiques as examples of those evolved and honed over years of following the most stringent dietary and physical training regime - for one purpose - to not blow over in wind
