rbrowning2
Around 1.5mm --------- so 2mm will be fine. Good idea to have them proofed.
Continental Shooter
there shouldn't be a fixed crimp measurement as this will affect the pressure in different ways. If you can, load the same recipe with two different crimp depth and you'll see from the sheet that they have different values, therefore, they wil pattern differently. Cyrus1988
Around 1.5mm --------- so 2mm will be fine. Good idea to have them proofed. Yeah, thinking about it, 0.5mm isn't really that much, worrying over nothing... there shouldn't be a fixed crimp measurement as this will affect the pressure in different ways. If you can, load the same recipe with two different crimp depth and you'll see from the sheet that they have different values, therefore, they wil pattern differently. I'll try and do four different loads with the same recipe just changing the overall length of the final cartridge which should change the crimp depth. Thanks again for the info guys.
