m greeny
I have the mallard and it has never leaked and also the monsoon elite which also has never leaked so if its somewhere between the 2 i mention it should be a good jacket. Dunkield
I have the smock and really like it, it hasn't had a proper soaking yet so can't comment on how waterproof it is. The one I don't like is the way it seems to magnetically attract burrs, I have just come in from stalking and spent the last 5 minutes pulling them off the sleeves
Wasting lead
Got a monsoon, was ok for a while then leaked even Tech washed no difference.
TR1
So mixed reviews , may keep looking. Noticed Rivers West similar material has 10 year waterproof guarantee
Dunkield
I would imagine there is a lot of small print attached to guaranteeing anything to be waterproof for ten years
TR1
Probably right , including wearing it outdoors.
Dunkield
The T's & C's would make interesting reading though I have 10 days of mixed shooting in Scotland on the horizon, I can't imagine for one minute the sun will shine for all 10, if at all, so I can report back just how waterproof the smock is/isn't.
