michufc
Just thought I would share the most recent activity switch my spaniel spot. Well it was just a quick mooch about up the farm to see what's about really. So I had a new 20g for my birthday and not had chance to use it yet so I thought it would be a perfect time. So I took a walk around the hedges and spot was working quite well in the hedges not staying far and out flushed a pigeon. So stop whistle blown and spot sat so I took the shot and missed with the first and gave it the second and down it went. So I sent spot for it not entirely sure on how he would react. So when he got there I thought it was stone dead but it still had a bit of fight left in it but spot still picked it and brought it back to hand for dispatch. Another proud moment. It looks like he should end up being a good shooting companion.

michufc
It's a brilliant feeling and trying to explain why I get so excited and proud of my dogs to a customer who just looked blank back at me was really funny
JDog
Some non doggy, or even some doggy people will never understand the bond between an owner and his dog.
felly100
Some non doggy, or even some doggy people will never understand the bond between an owner and his dog. Some say they were close. Some say they were too close.
Maddaftspaniel
I remember my labs first retrieve. I had tried him on cold game and he was fine but I was worried about warm or live game. I was out for a walk with him on a road alongside a field of swathed rape when I looked down at him walking to heel and he had a live woodpigeon in his mouth and was looking quizzically up at me! Unbeknown to me the field had been shot that morning and the bird must have been left lying on the verge.
