spready
I've got a cz452 silhoutte in .17 hmr. And have got it fitted in a boyds thumbhole stock, feel great I must say and shoots as good as before. My only gripe is its a standard barrel and the stocks for a heavy barrel model so it had the slight gap around it. I've tried all the importers but can't get a heavy barrel from them. Does anyone know where I can get one made maybe? Or better still has anyone got one going spare?
welshwarrior
With a 452 your better buying a new rifle the 455 can be changed over but the 452 is not designed with that in mind.
spandit
At least the barrel will properly float and the rifle won't be as heavy - seems an expensive way to go for something that probably won't bring a lot of benefit.
kent
This can be fixed. If your not great with wood the easy way is to bed all along the forearm masking the barrel with waxed electrical tape. Accraglass even comes with a sachet of brown die, I suppose you could also use a std woodfiller in a similar way but its not something I have even done. Bedding forearms in this way used to be common pre-synthetic stock days to help with rigidity and warping in wet / humid conditions.
