goldypurple
I am looking to set up a small rough shoot, I have found a patch of land not far from Thetford around 60acres, and to cover the rent for the land I need 5 people to cover the rent, I currently have 4. The max guns I will have is 6 because of the size. The 6th gun monies would be used for a few feeders and food, however members may be asked to chip in and help also. Ideally the interested guns should have a dog as its a rough shoot, walk and shoot. All game shot will kept by the guns. Out of season shooting may also be available, further discussion with land owner to clarify details. All game and duck as well as vermin. Price will be around £300-£350 each Pm if interested

Tollerman
Is this the same land currently being advertised on Guns on Pegs ?

Tollerman
Seems to be same location same size and still being shown on classified ad as land to rent.
Mightymariner
Sounds like the very same, I saw and thought the acreage was a missprint given the description that goes with it!

Tollerman
The ad says cheap shoot. At £30 an acre seems a little bit expensive?

hifly
Going rate for shooting rights are about £4.00 - £6.00 per acre this seems expensive at about £30.00 per acre and you ain't going to shoot it many times a season if you have 6 guns on that size area of land you should take it on youself and enjoy it at your leisure
goldypurple
I would if I could afford £1500 rent, therefore opening it up to a few others, £300-£350 isn't too much for someone that's hasn't any shooting for a year, but know what you mean
hifly
you will be ok if you can get the right guns on the place and have rules in place that they all agree with otherwise it will be a nightmare.

goldypurple
Thanks for the interest, I decided not to rent the land as it was quite open, plus parts of it didn't belong to the person advertising, and for the price it was expensive. If I find something suitable I will be in touch
