FalconFN
I wouldn't say i'm obsessed with trying to shoot big bags, but that's what i aim for. I imagine a lot of pigeon shooters are the same. I suspect some are and some aren't. Personally I'm not fussed about big bags, I'm a happy man as long as I keep the freezer full, get a good run out for the dog and keep the farmer happy. Saying that, most of this year has been utterly devoid of pigeons in my permissions so I've not had the chance. I feel the same about mackerel. Like a golf handicap perhaps? I wouldn't say no to beating my personal best. In shooting, there is not a lot to beat pigeons piling into the decoys all day long. It's certainly better than getting a couple of shots per hour.
pigeon controller
If the farmer wants you to shoot the birds that are taking his profit I believe you have to do your best. If that means you have a big bag you have fulfilled your contract . If the game dealer wants the birds to process for his profit I believe that's a win,win situation .
