wraivi
Not the savage, but I have a mossberg 12ga. Bolt action with the variable choke and 3" chamber. Excellent gun. Marlin also did one but unsure if it had a vari choke fitted. Nice e to have something different to use from time to time. chris31
I had a mossberg bolt action 12b a few years back, screw choke was fine but gun kicked like a mule so I sold it, also got a mossberg pump action that is quite old and has the screw choke which is also in perfect working order and very handy for quick changes. chris31
It goes down a bit past full, suppose you would say extra full, Good for foxing. Again will go a bit past cylinder as well, so pretty good wide range. Off tomoz to see a mossberg bolt 410 with the exact same choke system! malantone
My first gun at the age of 17yrs in 1963 was a Savage 3 shot bolt action 12 bore with multi choke, I used to set it :- evening flight `Cylinder` tide flight :- some where in the middle, shot my first Pink foot on the Solway with it set at full choke using AAA. Paid the princely sum of £17,10s 00d My pay at that time was £9 per week.
