Woodlander
Have many folk replaced their bolt shroud on T3,595 etc. is it worth the cost and which one did you choose? There's an Aussie bloke advertising an aluminium one on a site. Which material would be the best for the job?
zx10mike
shroud not really unless your plastic one is broken, tactical bolt worth every penny.might as well do both.
activeviii
I replaced the one on a t3 just for looks. I then bought 595 with a cracked shroud. Thought the one off the t3 would do as a replacement, turned out it was a very sloppy for so had to order a 595 plastic shroud. Be careful as there both slightly different. Bit like the bolts
Woodlander
Thanks. They're always advertised as compatable too. Mine's stainless so would definitely look better with a silver one, just not sure it'll be worth the cost, but no good if it doesn't fit properly. Olliesims
There was a uk seller selling them on the bay has 2 listed for t3 and other for m595 £30 as I remember
Loki
Hi I replaced my plastic one with a SS - not sloppy and in my opinion finishes the 595 off nicely and cant break/crack in the future Pretty sure I was bought it from a chap with a few on SD a year or so ago. I did look at the Oz ones - this may well be one of them - but as it was in the UK less risk. Cheers L
shootgun
I would love one for my A7 but not sure if will fit?
bk
I got a bulk buy from somewhere in Europe. The problem you have is there are some many slight differences in all tikka bolts, that's why a lot of smiths wont sell the shrouds. I bought dozens of them and many had to be swapped. Some that didn't fit one bolt were a perfect fit for others and some were sloppy They do look good though. Ive got two 595's and I know which bolt goes with the correct rifle as its got the stainless shroud Simples

aister
Hi woodlander, I got a bolt handle and shroud from atlas worx on flea bay, I don't notice the shroud but the bolt handle is great. Both bits fitted perfectly.
