I think you are looking at the Ag prefix of the serial number. Mine has the same. This ain't the date code. Remove your forend and the barrel. On left hand side of the barrel there are several proof marks. Last two letters in a box are your date codes. figgy Posted December 9, 2014 Report Share Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) You've took the letters from the serial numbers for auto shotguns my new A300 starts with AG. The date codes are two letters in a square stamped under the barrel.
