woody801
Apologies if this is in the wrong place. Admin please move or delete if appropriate. I have a brace of Aylesbury ducks. The drake has become very aggressive towards my hens and will be removed by the weekend. I'm going to get another duck to keep the one I have company. What's the best laying duck that would get on well with my Aylesbury? I can get hold of some Indian runners. Are these any good? Cheers Michael
rich1985
Khaki Campbell or silver apple yard I would go for, both lay large amounts of eggs.
woody801
OK thanks. I will have a look at both of them. The main problem round here seems to be sourcing the ducks.
polester
Indian runners are egg laying ducks don't know about them temperament wise but they lay well
KFC
We have a Muscovi and two Cayuga on a small moat. They are best buddies and they attract wild mallard. The neighbouring garden has Chickens and a couple of Roosters, separated by a wire fence, and there doesn't appear to be any aggro between them. http://poultrykeeper.com/duck-breeds/cayuga-ducks
woody801
Thanks for the input. Don't fancy the runners. Don't like the look of them. Been looking at kahki Campbell's and call ducks. Will probably go for one of them if I can source them.

rich1985
Look on eBay and hatch your own eggs if you can.
