potshot
I'll be on the BASC gunfit stand both days, if anyone wants to drop by. I will also have a stock of Easyhit beads if any wants a demo or to buy.

I will have a guy from work along with me for the day, he wants to get into clay shooting and has had a go but is convinced he has master eye type issues. We keep telling he is just **** but he won't have it (I am a BASC member BTW as are the other 2 in our group)

Ferret Master
What does the gun fitting envolve please? FM
pin
If your nice they work out the ideal dimensions for you, pull, comb height etc. If you are cheeky they fit a gun inside you the wrong way
Dunkield
Well we went and had a reasonable day out, no traffic at all but it seemed a bit quieter than in previous years. Did the shoot in the howling wind which was fun, the sun was out (Saturday) so it was actually quite a bit of laugh. Shot a disapointing 39/60, but everyone seemed to be missing them, so who knows, should have been at least into the mid/high 40's. The best bit was smacking the wind assisted loopers, they were going like a bat out of hell - I hit all of those on all the stands that had them and screwed up the rabbit and the daft quartering birds - oh well, I'll blame the wind Potshot, I didn't have the time to get up to see you in the end, but my mate did and he was grateful for the advice- thanks for that. He is keen to get his SGC and ashotgun once he can find one he is comfortable with, so that is yet another newbie into the sport

So she's really keen to do some more now. But I'm not having her shooting next to me again!

potshot
It was a funny old show - Saturday was busy as hell from 10.00 to about 2.30 then I think everyone left for the rugger. They were a really good crowd - genuinely interested and some serious shooters. Sunday no-one got out of bed early so it didn't kick off till 11.30 but by 3.00 it was all over. Punters were always 'just looking'. Glad to be of help Stuart
