Been out and about a lot over the last few weeks see the numbers rising, most of which are sitting up in the trees and those that are on the fields are just sitting there not moving much,i no from past experience one shot and they will be off and not to return. the cover crops are going to be cut down this week so fingers crossed then it will be case farmers ringing asking for some help, hopefully will be ring some friends to come along to, so get your kit ready lads

The farmers in my area are happy to see pigeons feeding on cut cover strips, as it keeps the birds off the rape..

I don't expect many phone calls to say "the birds are hammering the cut maize, please help me"..?

Cat.

I try to explain to farmers that birds feeding on any food supply, eg stubble or cut maize on their farm gets them used to feeding there and when there are drillings or OSR will flock back to favourite feeding areas - Just like P-ing into the wind!!!
