08shooter
little rust spots wont do any harm.just make sure to dry gun well after use and give it a rub down with an oily rag after each use too.it won t efect accuracy.
30-6
Be very careful about getting blood on the blueing, that will damage it. Also after when you come in from shooting, don't put the gun away right away if you can help it. Instead leave it in a safe place so any condensation dries off, before wiping with oiled cloth or whatever, and NEVER store it in the case. arnold
If your using silicon cloth after use simply place bag in its bag and seal. well its best to keep your rifle in top condition so reguler cleaning even in fron of the television) will help this keep looking new if selling in future you'll get good price paid?, as for storing i tend to leave my rifles in a well dryed cupboard or airing cupboard to draw out any moisture as for gun bag i place on top of radiatorfor full dry out. if leather do the same but do use leather polish too keep water tight... P03
If you leave a wooden stocked rifle in an airing cupboard the wood may shrink and crack a dry cupboard at room temp is best. Head or Nothing what ever you do don't put tape on the barrel it will only hide the problem hold moisture in and you know what it'll look like when you take it off.
