fenboy Posted March 31, 2015 Report Share Posted March 31, 2015 jdog nailed it, the more you go and hopefully shoot a decent bag or two the harder it will be to sit there when the birds aren't moving or likely too. I can't sit there knowing I'm wasting my time when I could be at work doing chores or doing some scouting about looking for another days shooting. Two builders I know have just started pigeon shooting and they were telling me how they went dawn to late afternoon for seven pigeons and had a brilliant day , joking I said I would have thrown myself on the hide poles rather than sit there for that , but years back I've been out that long for less Spot on , the longer you have been shooting them the less sitting around for little or no return is acceptable , I use to when I was young and keen but now days I like to wait and go when there is a chance of a few . kenholland Posted March 31, 2015 Report Share Posted March 31, 2015 for all you lad's out there who can't hit anything go to your local clay ground and get someone to put you right,then it might help you in the hide, it's just a thought It's very frustrating, I know iv'e been there.iknow clays ain't pigeons but hey what have you got to lose.
