Dedication or stupidity?

jdog nailed it, the more you go and hopefully shoot a decent bag or two the harder it will be to sit there when the birds aren't moving or likely too. I can't sit there knowing I'm wasting my time when I could be at work doing chores or doing some scouting about looking for another days shooting. Two builders I know have just started pigeon shooting and they were telling me how they went dawn to late afternoon for seven pigeons and had a brilliant day , joking I said I would have thrown myself on the hide poles rather than sit there for that , but years back I've been out that long for less

Spot on , the longer you have been shooting them the less sitting around for little or no return is acceptable , I use to when I was young and keen but now days I like to wait and go when there is a chance of a few .

Of course occasionally even the best laid plans do not materialize into a decent day.
