Big Al
Hi guys - I'm looking for some help. I have a Beretta Silver Pigeon which I don't shoot with too well, at least compared to my old Lincoln. I need more of a drop as I seem to look down on the rib. It's a lovely gun, and I hate having to leave it behind in favour of the Lincoln, so I reckon I need someone to adjust it. Or is there another alternative solution. I have tried mounting the gun higher on my shoulder, but I end up getting a bruised shoulder from the bottom point (toe?) of the stock. I know of people who can do the job approximately, but I'd love to find someone who can do it right. I live in Northern Ireland, but am willing to travel anywhere on the island if I find a man who can do the job well. Thanks
Vegeta
There is a german guy living close enough to me. He builds custom rifles but I am not sure if he does any shotgun work. I can get his number if you want to go give him a buzz and see if he can sort you out

08shooter
dont whatever you do go to mr mccloy.there is a chap from about banbridge specializes in that work.your best bet would be to try a ring to local gunshops to see if anyone has a number.i know a chap from maghera who refinishes wood but i don t know if he would bend one
Big Al
Thanks for the help. Donal McCloy is plotted his copybook somewhat after a recent conviction in the south. nuff said. The man near Banbridge (Tom McClimond) has given it up and gone back to specialist joinery products, in particular mahogany sash windows. Tom would have been my man though, I agree. Vegeta, I'd love to give your guy a call. Germans are renouned for a lot of things, precision and accuracy being two of them. thanks again guys. what advice! great forum! Mr Rizzini
Who did you end up getting to sort the gun out Al and where they any good?
Big Al
Gordon Newell at Hollow Farm. He did a great job. Problem was he handed me a Browning 525 that fitted perfectly - he used it as a guide for working on the Beretta. I traded the gun early 2008 for a Browning. I still have the Browning........ Its back to the old story. There are Browning /Miroku people and there are Beretta people.
