andrew f
Decided to go stalking this evening to christen my new rifle I arrived at my permission and stopped next to the farms water tower so I could glass the fields on one side of the wood I spotted a white bum going down the hedge to the next field I kept on glassing up the hedge and I saw a young roe buck sat on top the hedge. Jumped back in my car parked up got all geared up checked the wind it was perfect to start stalking the buck when I got back to the gate way they had vanished much to my dismay. I walked to where I had saw them last and they weren't to be seen anywhere. I decide to go to one of my high seats in the wood where I had topped off the dead ferns and Japanese knotweed in a clearing. I was happy to see the knotweed hadn't grown back unloaded the rifle climbed the high seat was waiting for about 30 minutes when I saw three roe deer approaching which where one roe doe and two roe bucks waited for the smaller one to get into range for a neck shot safety off squeezed the trigger down he went with a few kicks of nerves then he was still unloaded climbed down the high seat and began the gralloch then photo time and the long drag back to the car.
