Whitetail
There's been the odd young bird been shot over the last few months.I was doing a hedging job just after Christmas and there was a pair of squabs on a nest then. I think with the mild winters we're having pigeons are breeding for longer.
Ira
I saw one last week being attacked by a crow in the farm yard, the adult saw the crow off which was brave but the squab was worse for wear, my lab did a quick retrieve and I finished the job quickly.
