Ttfjlc
Ours are on wheat and pellets and since we've had them they've put on weight nicely.
Scully
The medicated stuff for grouse is meant purely for grouse, meant to be only sold under a vets perscription, dinae think pheasants get strongyleosis, certainly never heard of it, possibly they can harbour some on moorland fringes with high grouse numbers. Never ever heard of medicated grit for any other bird as always easier to put in feed or water to guarantee all the birds are dosed Fair enough. I could be totally wrong of course and the grit possibly isn't medicated. Anyhow, silage has finished now so perhaps we'll open up the pen on Friday afternoon. Dog put one up this evening and she was flying like a good un.
lonnford
Hi guys . we had our ex layers arrive around 1 month ago 250 of them, we have lost a few to the old buzzards any ideas on keeping them at bay. only had hen birds this time though .and did manage to collect around 40-50 eggs when they first arrived. yesterday we had 15 hatch in our incubator 😀 and still have several left to hatch we have noticed 1 cockbird in the pen and he looks absolutely knackered. ..lucky ******. what is considered to be average hatch rate on eggs in the incubator
