Buying a new rifle with moderator ( if moderator not on fac )

Hi all,

I need some advice please.

I have recently had a .223 added to my fac for running boar / moving targets. I did not add a moderator to my fac as it was my first application with 3 firearms and didn't want to push the boat, in hindsight I wish I had added a moderator.

Anyway, there is a sako 75 package that seems to tick all the boxes ( after hours of talking / reading ) but in the package is a moderator..... Now a couple of questions -

Can I buy the package and keep the moderator separate until I have it added to my fac?

Or as it s on his slot would it have to be accounted for ie could he sell me the rifle but not the moderator / sell the moderator separately to me off ticket for me to keep and use when I add it to my fac?

Now a silly one, will the rifle be fine to use without moderator in the mean time even though it has been threaded for a moderator?

You'd have to buy the rifle and he keeps the moderator as you can't buy it "off ticket" is a polite way of saying illegal owned!

Apply for a moderator then buy the package.

 

My FEO said he'd rather people ask for everything they want at once and leave it up to them to say yes or no because asking for things bit by bit just makes extra work for them.

If you have the package delivered to an RFD, they'll keep the moderator for you until you get a slot for it
