Hardwoods Green
That's not a 525. It's a 325, maybe a 425 but l
sishyplops
I think your right HG, they didn't make a G3 in 525, the checkering is the wrong way for a 525, they did the Advance classed as a grade 2.5 (which is the one i have) serial number letters will make it clearer, if the op can provide them
elmar fudd
I thought I couldn't find any that were the same when I searched, but I was sold it from a shop as a 525 so I just went with it The serial number is 48005NP
blade
That code makes it a 1998 model not sure when they started making the 525.The gun looks like my old 325 grade 2 gti .Still a cracking buy for someone Edited June 25, 2015 by blade
sishyplops
its a 425 the 325 stopped in 1994/5 525 started around 2005 still a very good price and the gun will last a lifetime

Chris Bb
It's amazing how little information Browning put on some of their guns, also how guns of the same designation vary. My 325 only has "325" in the smallest lettering on top of the barrel and is an Invector choke. My pal's has "325" in huge letters on the bottom of the action and is Invector + choked. The stocks are also quite differently shaped. Regardless, that's still a very good buy for the lucky so-and-so that gets it.
