Bewsher500
£1k? well that takes care of one stag for one of you......... seriously. speak to an agent the list could be a long as your arm for a guide you could be looking for as little at £90-100 for cull hind stalking (before tips, fees, accommodation etc) for stags you could be paying £350 - 500 and may find yourself paying £10-15 per point on top of that before fees for rifles, tips etc salmon fishing likewise you can get free salmon fishing with accommodation in some places or you could be paying £2k for a two rod beat for the week prestige and value for money don't go hand in hand! Dunkield
If you went for hinds you would get just as much out of it for far less money, which would obviously leave more budget for the rest. You need to take seasons into account, and match the stalking with rivers/lochs that fish well at that time of year. When you say 'never done it' to what extent does that apply to the fishing bit? Do you want to fly fish for salmon or would you look at other methods? Personally I wouldn't use an agent.
Aled
Type in "Sporting lodges Scotland" into Google. Should point you in the right direction. I'm hoping to do something similar one day, but with some rough shooting instead of stalking. Cheers Aled
