Rothwell is 3 miles SE of Caistor, itself on the A46 Lincoln/Cleethorpes Road.A small village with a pub ( and a post box - the telephone booth was nicked).Post Code for the Estate Office (Villa) is LN7 6 BJ., it is at the east end of the village,in manicured lawns overlooking the original Chery Valley (think ducks).

Curator is Paddy Shillington E-Mail p.shillington@sky.com and Tel 01507 - 602281.

This is the last occasion the Gallery will be open to the public this year, although Private Viewings can be arranged. The late John Humphreys brought a party here some time ago.Hope this helps.

I was on an arid, tiny Dodecanese island last week, in which all hunting was banned by the socialist Mayor a few years ago. The place is overrun with wild chukar partridges and wild goats. Frustrating not to be able to shoot in any circs, but nice to see wild partridges everywhere.

(Local people not allowed to hunt now take goats by luring them to water, netting them then slitting their throats).
