12borebanger
I'm in the market for a freelander but unsure wether to go for auto or manual. Always had manuals and always thought I would stick with a manual but have come across a few nice auto examples. Is there any Major pros/cons with going to auto, any better for off roading etc? Thanks for any help

Carman06
I went manual as couldn't justify the lower fuel economy of an auto but if I was going to tow regular like a caravan I would go auto as they are stronger and very good.
JRDS
On my 3rd Disco and my first Auto, you will never go back to a manual once you have had an auto. Thirstier but so worth it.

Chris Bb
Auto all the way! Especially with the SD4 engine, there's just so much torque. As above, this car was never designed to be cheap to run but I average 35MPG.
