TR1 Posted August 7, 2015 Report Share Posted August 7, 2015 Any mobile geniuses able to assist. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace which has a strange problem. For the last 10 days on the stroke of midnight the phone gives a quiet repeat beep beep noise, the screen does not light up. It is not a ringtone or a message alert or an alarm , it stops when the screen is touched and does not leave any call log event. As you can imagine it is most welcome at that time of night. I have tried a factory reset , removed the battery and disabled all apps etc. I even tried resetting the clock manually so that midnight came during the day but the noise did not appear. bruno22rf Posted August 7, 2015 Report Share Posted August 7, 2015 Each model varies but try-home screen-tap and drag "notifications" downwards-Tap "settings" then Tap "sound"-Tap "notifications"-scroll down to "system"-alter the tickbox to disable the sound. So although issue is probably not fixed at least it is quiet.
