Being away for three months makes my brain forget all the passwords etc but trying to post the picture today was most confusing , I previously would load the picture on photo box annotate the numbers and click on the link and wait for it to turn yellow and then copy to the post and would get the full picture . Today it would only give me a list of alpha numerics but it did post picture when I posted it. Have I been doing it wrong before or has the system changed?????

Go to Imgur.com and upload your image.

On the right hand side of the page, next to your newly uploaded image you want to copy the link which says something like i.imgur.com/yourpic.jpg

Write your post and where you want to put your photo, click the little photograph box and paste your image link in there. Your photo will show up.

Test it in this thread if you're worried you'll get it wrong. I'll help you out if you're stuck. This is a much better way to post images and you don't need to remember passwords or deal with resizing.

Almost... You need to insert that link using the image tool button bGkxXqA.png during the writing of your post. Click the icon and paste the image link into the box.

Also, instead of hosting that image with imgur, just copy the link from the address bar, click the image icon when you're posting and paste that link in there.

When you 'host' an image, you're giving an image to a service which will look after it and allow it to be viewed. If the image doesn't exist on the internet, then you want to host it to be able to share it. If the image already exists online, then you rarely have to host it again, as a service is already offering for online viewing. You'd do no harm hosting it again, but you'll just waste your time.

The photo you were sharing is hosted on a number of sites. I've taken one which Pinterest is hosting. Here is what it would look like and the code to make it possible (if you're interested)

What this forum wants to see if you want a photo to show:

By clicking the photo icon bGkxXqA.png and pasting the link, the forum writes the relevant code seen above and produces this for you:
