hawk4sport
HI all, after my recent post for advice last week ive had a look at an l200 animal today, it,s a 56 plate 2.5 auto on 50,000 miles with fsh, lovely looking motor in every respect, few little marks here and there but thats what you would expect. Any of you got one, whats the auto like on fuel ,off road and in general compared with the manual, sorry for all the questions in advance A.T.B Andy
bluesj
I get high 20's to low 30's from my 06 elegance, the animal should do a bit better as it has the rally art power boost fitted. the auto box is good and makes for a nice stress free drive but can be a little slow on the up take, may be better on the animal but then again its not a sports car

Jay_Russell
Im sitting in my 2007 animal auto right now. I spent ages trying the main three, l200, navara and ranger. ( hilux much more money so ruled it out). Prefered the l200 in all respects. Normal use its sitting at 31.4mpg. On motorway 36-37mpg and in 4hlc around 27mpg. Thats with cooper at3 tyres in 265/70/17 size.
Jay_Russell
As for offroad, now ive put decent tyres on it its done itself proud. It pulled its self up a very steep clay muddy assecent this morning. 4x4 diff locked and locked in 1st (L) im quite suprised it got up there with only limited wheel slip, the m atsc system helps a lot but even the tractors are struggling to get up it. al4x
If it's an old shape the economy will be lower than the new shape. This is right on the changeover and personally I would be looking for a new shape
Jay_Russell
I assumed he is looking at newer shape, my posts above assumed this
