tikkamark
i had a look through a zeiss and thought the kahles had a sharper image and nicer reticle .I was informed that the kahles were of the same quality if not better then smidth and bender and are in the scope manufacturing trade a lot longer. Peter_HMR
Well you'd have to be comparing like for like as in both 1" 40mm OB at 10X to get accurate results. If your happy with it go for it they are all top notch and there is not alot in it you would look back.

trevor
my friend loves kahles scopes my mate from bwm said to me the weekend that the to top manufactures are kahles and swarovski and he should know as he has tried every scope for free on the market what i did notice with the kahles that when u dry fire a centre fire rifle the reticle jumps and never goes of zero top scopes. M ROBSON
I have been out for a couple of stalks with a Danish hunter who used a Kahles CSX 3-12x56 30mm IR scope. It was very crisp and had amazing light gathering, it appeared to be very well constructed. Mark.
tikkamark
thanks for that link deadeye seems to be a great fourm B) it really is amazing the difference between the image quality on the kahles and some of the lower priced scopes its a lot of money but i think it will be worth it in the long run There is a true story on kahles home page about one of there scopes back in the 70s a hunter was out in some mountain range and shot a goat then left his rifle standing against some rocks and went to the goat sure enough he went back to the spot where he thought he left the gun and couldnt find it as every rock looked the same he went back to the same spot for months and still couldnt find it,then in 2000 a hunter stumbled across the rifle still standing in the same spot barrel rusted to bits and stock rotted he picked up the gun looked through it and the scope was still functioning perfect that is the ultimate test for any scope out in wind rain and snow for over 3 decades they have the actual rifle still and bring it to there trade shows. If someone knows how to link there homepage they can see for themselfs as i am useless with computers
