Brett - don't even try to do a bend like this with a spring, you will never get the spring out again. Why not use 2 corner bends and a short piece of tube to connect across the end?

I would do but I need a smaller curve radius than that will give, plus, I don't have any satisfactory soldering kit.

 

cant find 180 degree push fit return bends anywhere.... lol

 

I do however have an internal pipe bending spring, a 2 and a half inch tube to bend around and a blow torch. pretty sure I can get it sorted. :good:

A pipe bending spring? I haven't seen one of those in years. I had one when I was a lad but don't think I ever used it. I'm not sure what happened to it. Probably found its way down to Cornwall I shouldn't wonder :yes:

 

NB: Apologies for the multiple quotes but for some daft reason windows 10 was having a moment on me so switched to Chrome, which wasn't much better but at least I could post an answer that made sense
