Dave-G Posted September 11, 2015 Report Share Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) Misfortune has again reared its head for me lol, my auto gearbox has fubared for the fourth time, probably over 1K to sort. That means I have no choice but to have the rest of this week off work at least. As the wife points out I'm earning next to nothing after all the expenses so time off is no big deal. Good job I sorted the mortgage while the game was good and I could work long hours. I digress but bear with me - I'm getting there. I usually have to miss any NV meets because every night driving cabbie works Saturday nights. I Should be able to exploit the opportunity and host an impromptu NV meeting on Saturday night at East Leicester if anyone is interested. All are welcome to show off what they make - for sale or just what you made for yourself, or what you have bought. I'll have my spotters to show and I'm sure others on here would like to demo something. I'd like to see Evo's rig and would also like to see a night vision rangefinder if anyone has one. I can probably get the permission to use my local Golf club driving range - which is flat well mown grass and has markers to 300 yards, but have other permissions nearby I can probably use if its a problem. I'll get it confirmed if anyone is interested.The only rule I'd want is nobody brings any ammo for risk assessment issues. This weekend also happens to have almost non existent moonlight. There is a Wetherspoons nearby to dump the family lol, family restaurant - not pub: So they have to eat with a drink. Let me know if there is any interest please chaps - as it won't occur if not. LOL, sorry the plan was for last Saturday night but being very short notice with grim weather forecasts it did not attract sufficient interest. My cab has been sorted now so cannot anticipate having another Saturday night free for a long time. My usual nights off are Sunday and Monday, if any of those are useful you can nip over for a demo of my rigs. Look at some of my recent posts and see if anything appeals in your price range.
