I just pasted that on here to show how we as in the public are guilty until we can prove we are innocent and how things get twisted when it comes to revocation !

I thought this was a shooting forum so we could share and help our fellow shooters !

This sort of thing is happening all the time so pretty soon shooting will be only for a very few !

United we stand devided we fall springs to mind here.

From above >> let me be public then. >> Every case is different and I can't comment on your case but it is a widely held belief on here that basc is in existence to promote the interests of shooters and to be there to advise and support you when you have problems with applications of other problems. They obviously do help some people but several people that I personally know of the have sought help and advise with problems on applications and variations and have received no sensible help or advise at all. In my case which was a variation query, you would have thought that basc was working as an anti firearms org rather than supporting and advising me as a paying member for many years. I was told not to rock the boat with firearms and just go along with what they said even though I did get the variation in the end. Needless to say that I am no longer a member and neither are a lot of shooting people that I know of including whole syndicates. I consider them to be just another business touting around for trade it’s just that they operate under a fallacy of protecting shooting. I now get comprehensive sporting cover for a fraction of the price. The legal system seems to be a lottery and I can sympathise with your situation. You can be very alone when this happens and a friendly ear can help a lot. Either you were a bad person or, you just got spread by the system but it’s not going to be easy to get around this one. On what grounds have Sussex revoked your new cert?

well said I couldn't agree more

The average solicitor is what £200 an hour and specialists anything upto £1000 the further you wander into a city.

It just strikes me that some people have a very high expectation of what a nominal subcription of less than a tank of petrol is supposed to get you along with a magazine, car sticker, training courses, lobbying, firearms advice etc.

Also the thing about advice is that quite often it falls on deaf ears.

We have had a number of threads like this in the past and they never end well.

To the OP, the advice that you should take this back up with BASC, Essex Police and whoever made allegations against you is about as good as it will get. Its worth pointing out that a couple of contributors to this thread are legal professionals themselves.

Aside from that, old ground is being raked over already and we are starting to go round in circles, so this thread will now close.
